Our hearts are with our brothers and sisters of IAFF Local F-295 Yakima Training Center Professional Firefighters - YTC, and Selah Fire Department as we hear of this great loss.
Rest easy brother. It is with profound sadness that the Yakima Training Center Fire Department announces the passing of a dedicated and respected member of our firefighting family. Please keep the Wangler family and his son in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for honoring him Sisters and Brothers.
The Wanglers are an amazing family. We love them..
He was a really good guy. Trained me through recuit class the second time. He really loved fire fighting.
We’ve been busy training a whole lot of Probationary Firefighters the last several months. Here are a few pictures of some training on our car fire prop for some new probationary firefighters.

Look how clean his turn outs are compared to the old timer! Lol
Crews are currently on a working fire at the old Sea Galley in Union Gap. Please avoid the area and let our crews work.

Cool
Should have them by this time next year
YFD has responded to 15 overdoses in the last 24 hours. That is not including the ones we had the day before and the ones our crews are currently on. Overdoses are common here in Yakima but there is a definite spike within the past few days. #iaff469 ... See MoreSee Less

I heard that a vending machine for narcan was just placed in Yakima. Could this be the reason for the spike in OD’s.
Wow!
AMPM on first st needs narcan. They are the central location of all of this happening. If anyone has any extra please drop it off with a clerk. I have some to bring down there myself. The workers in there have already saved so many people let’s keep them stocked up.
Thank you for doing what you do. Had a family member a few months ago that received 5 hits of narcan. We almost lost her. It's so scary. ♥️♥️
Very sad
